Community funds

ASB Community Trust
ASB Community Trust makes grants for environmental projects and organisations that protect and enhance the environment in which we live. Applications for grants can be made by registered charitable trusts and not-for-profit organisations committed to delivering environment projects or initiatives that will enhance the lives of people in Auckland and Northland.
The Trust will consider applications for general support and minor building projects.
General funding grants help community organisations working to raise awareness of issues affecting native species, flora and fauna, waterways and marine environments. This includes groups working to conserve land, marine habitats, waterways and ecosystems, delivering evidence-based conservation, working to conserve native flora and fauna and increasing awareness of environmental issues.
The Trust will generally consider funding up to maximum of $30,000 for applicants who are applying for the first time. We will look at funding areas such as operating costs, equipment, website and brochures, capacity building, volunteer and project costs.
Environment grant application closing dates are June 1 and December 1 each year.
