Join caretaker Malcolm Fisher (son of Muriel Fisher) at 38 Kauri Rd, Birkenhead, for a walk around Fernglen gardens and the surrounding bush.
See podocarps planted 90 years ago and NZ plants from all over the country. There is a lovely haven cottage for a cuppa and DVD for those who cannot go to the steeper parts of the property.
