You are invited to join the Department of Conservation in celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Barracks building at North Head.
The Royal NZ Artillery Band will play from 2 – 3pm including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture for the grand finale.
North Head’s famous disappearing gun will be fired at 2.50pm!
A range of other activities will be available including historic tours of the tunnels and North Head area and a children’s discovery trail.
Free entry, gold coin donation appreciated for guided tours. There will be plenty to do, even if it’s wet.
