Be a tidy Kiwi and Keep NZ Beautiful on our CleanUp Day at Tony Segedin Reserve. This is a large local green with bush and walkways through the mangroves on the banks of the Whau River. The Whau is part of the vast area known as Te Wao nui o Tiriwa or The Great Forest of Tiriwa and is part of a community-led project to protect the catchment.

Join members of the Waiatarua Reserve Protection Society for their annual community planting day in the park. The day aims expand on areas planted last year adding more native plant species to the overall mix. In future years there should be sufficient food available to native birds year-round.
