Every Tuesday you will see Conservation Volunteers out and about at different parks around Auckland.
It’s part of an initiative between Conservation Volunteers New Zealand and the Auckland City Council to help bring biodiversity back to our central parks and to give people who are interested in conservation a chance to get involved.
The Sustainable Coastlines Black-Tie Charity Ball - Spaces are limited, so get in quick. Be a tidy Kiwi and Keep NZ Beautiful on our CleanUp Day at Tony Segedin Reserve. This is a large local green with bush and walkways through the mangroves on the banks of the Whau River. The Whau is part of the vast area known as Te Wao nui o Tiriwa or The Great Forest of Tiriwa and is part of a community-led project to protect the catchment.
Join members of the Friends of Oakley Creek near Waterview Downs Bridge. The aim of this planting is to plant native grasses along the creek edge to form habitat for native birds, insects and aquatic life.
