To be a great club or not for profit, you need a great leadership team. This workshop explores building strong leaders and how this inspires a volunteer environment.

This walk is well paved track and access road leads past cascades and falls, skirting the lake to the spectacular high dam. We continue on to the end of the “Rainforest Express” railway line, then climb stairs up the face of the dam.

Meeting place: Car park on left of Piha Rd, 1.5km from the Scenic Drive.
Bring walking shoes, lunch, water, sunblock and wet weather gear (just in case)

growing your own seed. There is an optional garden visit 4.30-5.30
For those who want to gain a deeper understanding of the basics of growing tasty, nutritious, healthy vegetables, including some “hands on” experience in the Ranui Community Garden.

● Creating a good soil structure
● The importance of soil life
● What vegetables need to be healthy, tasty and nutritious
● Developing the skills needed to be a natural gardener
● Choosing appropriate vegetable varieties to grow
● “Getting Organised”

gardens, and we can visit the supermarket 24hours a day and buy a wide range of
foods from throughout the world from our globalised, industrialised food production &
distribution system. So why bother growing your own vegetables and seeds?
Come alon and enjoy Auckland most iconic beach celebrate it and help us kiwis to keep it good and clean after all are we not 100% Pure New Zealand>?
