This is a key event in the Cancer Society's calendar and we would like to make sure
that you know about it and have the opportunity to sign up a team and join us next February! Relay is a moving and fun overnight event to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes so much.
Special invitation to survivors and their carers- if you would like to join us to lead the first lap, please contact us and we will send out the info (you don’t have to be part of a team and we host you for afternoon tea following), you can also register at www.relayforlife.org.nz.
Start a team now- all welcome!

Auckland Regional Council invites you to help make Kawakawa Bay beach safer for barefooted beach goers by clearing the beach of dead Pacific oyster shells. Bring suitable footwear, and if possible your own gardening gloves, bucket, rake or wheelbarrow - some will also be provided so please come even if you don't have these things. A BBQ for volunteers will be provided at the end of the cleanup.
Meeting place: Whitford Point Reserve at 10am. Cleanup may take place a little further down the coast, so if you are later than 10am please look out for us towards Karaka Point!

This cave is located 90 minutes south of Auckland in a beautiful sheep and cattle farming area. The cave is 1km long, with a short stretch that has to be crawled through; it has a wide variety of stalactites, stalagmites, glow worms and a
huge cavern. There is a cafe nearby, where we meet. Costs are $30 (adult) and $15 (school-aged child), eftpos available. Entry fee includes a very knowledgeable guide,
helmet and waterproof torch. Please book with Jocelyn (ph 479 2107, jocsanders@vodafone.co.nz) – no bookings accepted after 20 Feb. You may also like to look at the website: www.nikaucave.co.nz
Please remember to clean and dry your boots before the trip to help prevent the spread of Kauri Die Back
