Come and celebrate Arbor Day with the North Shore Branch of the the Forest and Bird Protection Society and the North Shore City Council Parks Department.

A planting day has been organised at Tuff Crater Reserve from 10.00am to 12.00noon on Sunday 7th June 2009, followed by a sausage sizzle.

The planting site will be signposted from the end of  the end of The Warehouse Way.

Tools are provided, but please bring along a spade if you have one.

It would be great to see you there!

Duder Regional Park Planting Day

Come help plant on a patch overlooking the sea. Bring your raincoat, sunhat, drinks, nibbles, a spade and gumboots if you have. Family, friends and neighbours welcome. Spend as long or as little time there as you like.

As always a BBQ lunch is provided.

Manukau Parks Community Planting Day - Wades Road Esplanade

Shakespear Open Sanctuary Society Planting. Everyone welcome. We will be planting in the Skink Sanctuary at the eastern end of Shakespear Regional Park starting at 10am. Meet at the park office for transport to the planting site. Bring enclosed shoes or boots and, if you have them gloves & spade. TUFF CRATER COMMUNITY PLANTING DAY, 10am (finishing midday). Forest & Bird and NorthWest Wildlink event. Come help restore this significant reserve – the Millennium Forest – to its pristine past. Bring your spade and gumboots if you have. Family, friends and neighbours welcome. Follow the signs at the end of Warehouse Way, off Akoranga Drive. Mahurangi Tree Planting Day - Mahurangi West Road

We invite you to join us for a series of community tree planting days in Mahurangi, which are run in conjunction with Mahurangi Action Plan (MAP).

The planting will take place at 443 Mahurangi West Road, Mahurangi. The planting day is hosted by Friends of the Mahurangi.
The site has moderate terrain, disability access & is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. This is an opportunity to learn more about open ground nursery trials in the Mahurangi area.
Planting takes place between 1-3pm with hot refreshments & children's activities following the tree planting (3-4pm). Wear sturdy shoes or gumboots and bring a spade and gloves if you have them.
