This is a South Auckland Branch of Forest and Bird event. Meet by the carpark with strong footwear, spade, drink and snack. If you are bringing plants they should be well weeded and watered, ecosourced from Mangemangeroa and 30+cm tall. Enquires to Graham on 534 2998.

Register now for a 10 week intensive programme in organic gardening and permaculture, starting Saturday 6 June, and learn from a stunning line-up of organic gardening experts.
Cost $275 or $125 plus a minimum of 15 work exchange hours at the Gardens following classes on Saturdays. This reduced rate applies to only 10 students, so be quick.
This course is a great opportunity to be part of an innovative and informative programme in a central community garden setting. It will help you to create your own successful organic garden and contribute to a more sustainable and eco-friendly urban environment

Mahurangi Tree Planting Day - Mahurangi West Road

We invite you to join us for a series of community tree planting days in Mahurangi, which are run in conjunction with Mahurangi Action Plan (MAP).
The planting will take place at 443 Mahurangi West Road, Mahurangi. The planting day is hosted by Friends of the Mahurangi.
The site has moderate terrain, disability access & is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. This is an opportunity to learn more about open ground nursery trials in the Mahurangi area.
Planting takes place between 1-3pm with hot refreshments & children's activities following the tree planting (3-4pm). Wear sturdy shoes or gumboots and bring a spade and gloves if you have them.
Cancellations will be made only in the event if extreme weather conditions.
